Thirteen years seems about right...
The plan was to publish Sins of the Past in October of 2022 (see blog from Sept 2022). I thought it would be easy. I was SO close to having everything ready. My sabbatical was coming to a close, I only had a few hours left of editing. The cover was set. The website and blog was done. I knew I'd need a day or two to figure out how to upload the manuscript on KDP (Amazon's publishing), but I was SURE it would happen before my birthday (a significant one). It was twelve years since I began the writing process. And then... life happened. I fell back into work, with difficult situations that had been waiting for my return. When I had time off, finishing the book was not a top priority. And then time passed, and I couldn't remember what still had to be done.
